the kitchen. we ripped out the (ugly, particle board w/ black laminate) cabinets & it opened up the space a lot. where do we put all that kitchen stuff? a dresser is the pantry, a little couchside hutch holds large utensils & mixing bowls, a ladder holds all the cups and plates and bowls, the bar-cart houses the microwave at knee-height, and things that can hang are right above the sink underneath my bottle collection. upstairs is audio/video world. amy notes: putting lights near the ceiling makes the place feel taller. not because it needs it, but because the ceilings are 16 ft up there, it oughtta show. our own personal fire escape (most of the lofts don't get one). bathroom. close window
